Luis Rodríguez makes wine on the steep hillsides of Galicia, but with the exception of Emilio Rojo, he stands alone in Ribeiro. We find that the same people who collect Raveneau and Roulot, Collier and Benanti - they also covet the wines of Luis Rodriguez. The Escolma is the top-end white in Luis’ lineup. The old-vine treixadura tastes like elite Chablis with a bit more density. It’s only made in select vintages, and is on our shortlist of best white wines in Spain.
