No winemaker on earth is as synonymous with a single grape variety as Stefan Vetter is with sylvaner. Sylvaner is an obscure German variety that’s the specialty of a cold, hilly region called Franken. It’s there that Vetter biodynamically farms sylvaner to make this concentrated, textured, highly refreshing white wine.
Tastes like: Ripe pear, lime zest, sea salt, thyme.
How to drink: This is perfect sushi wine, but it’s also ideal great alongside salad or cooked seafood.
