In the rolling hills of Abruzzo, with the Adriatic Sea to the east and the Apennine mountains to the west, Roberto Fracassa and Alessandro Massacesi make small quantities of vibrant natural wines. The two friends craft this rosé from biodynamically farmed montepulciano. Montepulciano is a powerful red grape variety, which yields a darker, earthier rosé than you’d get from Provence. However, the juice is only left in contact with the grape skins for 24 hours, keeping the wine bright and easy-drinking. Only about 200 cases are produced annually.
Tastes like: Wild raspberry, sea salt, smoked oregano.
How to drink: Chilled with prosciutto and melon, grilled veggies, or a margherita pizza.
Ships from: New York, NY, USA
