Francis Egly crafts some of the best pinot noir-based wines in Champagne. A foundational figure in the grower Champagne movement, Francis makes wines that reflect their individual vineyards around the Grand Cru village of Ambonnay. That said, the Egly style can be summarized as rich and layered, like sparkling versions of top-class Burgundy. The 'Les Vignes de Bisseuil' is the only chardonnay-based wine in the lineup. It's a chiseled, powerfully mineral Champagne.
