In the Loire Valley, there’s a hill called Brézé that yields many of the greatest chenin blanc wines on the planet. Clos Rougeard, Guiberteau, Domaine du Collier, and now, Arnaud Lambert all utilize the hill’s limestone soils to produce vibrant, intensely salty white wines. This bottling comes from one of the coldest sites on Brézé, which produces a particularly fresh, fine-tuned wine. For the price, chenin doesn’t get much more compelling than this.
