Domaine Pellé, Menetou-Salon Sauvignon Blanc 'Morogues' 2024
Menetou-Salon borders Sancerre. The two areas share the same soils and growing conditions, and they produce the same style of crisp, mineral-driven sauvignon blanc. Domaine Pellé, a fourth-generation family winery, is Menetou-Salon’s best producer. From the region’s chalky, limestone soils, Paul-Henry Pellé makes a white that more closely resembles Sancerre or even Chablis than tropically-fruited versions of sauvignon blanc.
Tastes like: Green apple, lemon zest, fresh cut grass, sea spray.
How to drink: Cold with simply prepared seafood, summer rolls, or any salad with goat cheese.
