Wasenhaus, Chardonnay 2023 Magnum

In the last few years, Wasenhaus has become one of the hottest tickets in German wine. As late as 2021, its founder, Alex Götze, still served as vineyard manager at Domaine de Montille in Volnay. Along with his winemaking partner, Christoph Wolber, the pair’s Burgundy credentials also include Leflaive, Comte Armand, and Pierre Morey. Now, they those sensibilities two hours to the east in Baden, where the limestone soils yield an elegant, mineral chardonnay.
