Buona Notte, Ansel Red Blend 2021

This is a blend of sangiovese and pinot noir from organic vineyards in south-central Washington State. Usually, such an unusual combination of factors would make us dubious. Not so when the producer is Buona Notte. Their riffs on Italian wine, particularly sangiovese, consistently yield excellent results. This bottling is bright and refreshing, an ideal chilled red.

Tastes like: Wild cherry, dried herbs, smoke.
How to drink: Chilled, on its own or the next time you order pizza.
