After 35 years at the helm of Vietti, consistently producing some of the greatest wines in Piedmont (and all of Italy), Elena Penna and Luca Currado Vietti left in 2023. Cascina Penna Currado is their new project in Barolo. This nebbiolo showcases Luca’s finessed hand in the cellar, as well as the hallmark mineral-intensity of Monforte d’Alba.
Tastes like: Wild cherry, rose petals, licorice.
How to drink: Alongside braised meats, risotto, or aged Italian cheeses.
