Chandon de Briailles, 'Corton-Bressandes' Grand Cru 2016

Chandon de Briailles has top-class vineyard holdings in the Côte de Beaune, and as a result, they do everything in their power to let the land do the heavy lifting for their wines. Claude de Nicolay and her brother, François, farm biodynamically, and minimize, if not entirely avoid, the use of oak and sulfur in the winery. Their 'Corton-Bressandes' is simultaneously bright and age-worthy, one of the absolute best bottlings from this mid-slope grand cru vineyard.
