Now run by the 14th generation of the Amoreau family, Le Puy is a historic producer on the Right Bank of Bordeaux. Just east of Pomerol and Saint-Émilion, Le Puy produces fresh, medium-bodied expressions of Bordeaux. Made from a blend of merlot, cabernet franc, and cabernet sauvignon, this earthy, velvety red will appeal to fans of both classic Bordeaux and elegant Burgundy.
Tastes like: Plum, violets, mushrooms, bay leaf.
How to drink: Steak is a classic pairing, but braised meats or hearty pastas are solid options as well.
