Domaine Bachelet-Monnot, Bourgogne Rouge 2022

The wines of brothers Marc and Alexandre Bachelet are very much on the rise. Both their focused, smoky whites and fresh, lifted reds currently exist in the ever-smaller category of serious Burgundy that you can enjoy like everyday wines. They craft this limited-production red from 80 year-old vines, which yield a wine that’s juicy, midweight, and full of spicy, earthy notes.

Tastes like: Raspberry, mushroom, leather.

How to drink: Ideal with roast chicken or mushroom agnolotti.
