For proof, take this bottling from Charles Tardy and his son, François. From a single, organically-farmed vineyard a ten-minute drive from the famed hill of Hermitage, the family-run winery makes this syrah that’s dense, silky, and deeply savory.

Tastes like: Blueberry, thyme, black olive, leather.

How to Drink: Decant and enjoy with lamb chops or your slow-cooked meat of choice.
