Domaine Drouhin-Laroze, 'Bonnes-Mares' Grand Cru 2014

In the years following WWI, Burgundy was in some hard times. Amidst abundant misfortune, the Drouhin-Laroze family found an opportunity: they started buying up precious Grand Cru vineyards– a lot of them. Though the returns have been handsome to say the least, the Drouhin-Laroze family isn’t cashing in: they still work their hectares by hand and care more about low-intervention farming than high fashion.

Bonnes-Mares yields wines that are rich and meaty, with depth and structure that make them built to age for decades.
