Thibaud Boudignon, Savennières 'Clos de la Hutte' 2022

Thibaud Boudignon makes some of our favorite chenin blanc in the Loire. The Bordeaux-born, Burgundy-trained winemaker set out on his own in 2009, and has since become one of the region’s unquestioned stars. Boudignon makes this chenin from a tiny, walled-off vineyard right next to his winery in Savennières. Savennières gets a lot of sunshine, and as a result, it yields a particularly powerful expression of chenin blanc. Boudignon’s is full and palate-coating but still salty, detailed, and fresh.
