Génot-Boulanger makes a sprawling range of wines from all over Burgundy. If you can try their whole lineup - from Mercurey to Corton-Charlemagne - you absolutely should. Know, though, that the takeaways are simple: the Meursault-based domaine is at the top of its game. Guillaume Lavollée’s constant tinkering and refining in both the vineyard and cellar have yielded elite wines in both colors. That’s on display in this smoky, elegant white from a vintage that Guillaume says is the best he’s ever made.
