Domaine Tissot, Crémant du Jura BBF Extra Brut

Stéphane Tissot is the biggest name in the Jura region of France, where his wines have become some of the area’s very best since he took the reins from his father in the early ‘90s. He’s a torchbearer for the natural wine movement and the Jura as a whole, promoting its local styles and native grape varieties. Stéphane ages this crémant on the lees for 5 years, which yields a toasty, richly textured sparkling wine. It’s an ideal value-alternative to grower Champagne.

Tastes like: Ripe pear, brioche, smoked honey, sea salt.

How to drink: Comté cheese would be a perfect pairing, but fried chicken and all types of fresh seafood are great options as well.
