Frantz Saumon, Colombard 'Vin de Frantz' 2021

After spending the ‘90s working in forestry in Quebec, Frantz Saumon returned home to make wine in the Loire Valley across the river from Vouvray. With his partner, Marie Thibault, he makes this light, citrusy white wine from a grape called colombard. If you’re a fan of high-acid whites like Muscadet or chenin blanc, you’ll be into this.

Tastes like: Green apple, almond, honeydew.
How to drink: Cold, ideally with salads and veggies or sushi.
