Guímaro, Ribeira Sacra 'A Ponte' 2020 (Pre-Sale Arriving 2/10)

Guímaro is making some of the most exciting red wines in Spain today. The traditionalist producer farms old vines of local grape varieties, which grow on dramatically steep vineyards in Ribeira Sacra in northwestern Spain. The high altitude and cool nights allow the grapes to retain a ton of freshness, yielding peppery, savory red wines.

The ‘A Ponte’ comes from the highest and coolest vineyard plot in the area, which Guímaro plants with a blend of local grapes that are known for retaining freshness even in warm vintages. All of that leads to lighter, crisper, more floral wine than the others in this lineup.
