Luis Rodríguez, Riberio Blanco 'Escolma' 2017

We find more and more that the same people who stock their cellars with Raveneau, Roulot, and Coche also covet the whites of Luis Rodriguez. Made from the local grape treixadura, grown on the lush, windswept hillsides of Spain’s Ribeiro, it's like premier cru Chablis with a bit more density– or the best Northern Rhône whites if those wines had ample acid and salinity. All in all, it’s a very good thing, and showing up with a bottle to your next kind-of-fancy hang is a pretty sure sign you know what’s up.
