We just received a range of wines from one of the most exciting ‘grower producers’ in Champagne - Benoît Marguet. Benoît is at the forefront of the region’s natural wine movement. He makes biodynamic wines - Benoît’s two horses handle all the plowing - that receive minimal added sulfur, and no dosage (added sugar). The result is pure, vibrant Champagne.
While pinot noir tends to produce a richer, fuller style of Champagne, this version from Marguet is crisp and elegant.
