Martissima, Collio Bianco Ribolla Gialla 2024

In the Friuli region of northeastern Italy, Venica & Venica is the benchmark producer, and Marta Venica grew up alongside the estate’s vines. Now, she organically farms her own small vineyard nearby in Collio, and releases just two wines - one white and one red - under the Martissima label. She makes the white from a blend of local grapes like friulano and ribolla gialla. It texturally brings to mind whites from the Northern Rhone, but with bright acidity and salty, herbal notes keeping it fresh.
