Monteleone, Etna Bianco 2022

 On the eastern slopes of Mount Etna, with the Ionian Sea below and the volcano’s endless plumes of smoke above, Giulia Monteleone and her family organically farm the local grape variety, carricante. As with all of our favorite Etna Biancos, this white wine is brisk, salty, and herbal, bringing to mind textured versions of Chablis.

Tastes like: Ripe pear, lemon zest, smoke, sea breeze.

How to drink: Chilled alongside hard cheeses, chicken piccata, or all types of simply prepared seafood.
