Jean Foillard and Marcel Lapierre are Beaujolais’ most important producers. In short, they helped change the perception of Beaujolais from cheap canned wine to one of the world’s great light reds.

Both red wines are 100% gamay from old vines in Morgon. The Côte du Py is arguably the single greatest vineyard in Beaujolais.
Morgon is home to the region’s best wines. They remind you that both Burgundy and the Northern Rhone are less than an hour away.
Back in the ‘80s, Lapierre and Foillard were among four Beaujolais producers credited with mainstreaming the natural wine movement. Fittingly, Kermit Lynch dubbed them “The Gang of Four.”
