Occhipinti, Grillo Sicilia Bianco 'Vino di Contrada SM' 2022

Arianna Occhipinti is Sicily’s most exciting winemaker. In her hometown on the southeastern corner of the island, she biodynamically farms native grape varieties, and produces lively, nuanced natural wines. Arianna’s uncle, Giusto Occhipinti, helped redefine Sicilian winemaking in the 20th century. Arianna is doing the same for the 21st.

This small-production white wine comes from unique plots way up on the cool, windy hills above Vittoria. Made entirely from the local grillo grape, it’s intensely mineral, high-acid, and textured.
