Named for the country road in Vittoria where Occhipinti is based, this frappato-based red gains body and richness thanks to the inclusion of nero d’avola in the blend. The native Sicilian grape is similar to syrah, so expect some darker fruit and smoky flavors to go along with frappato’s inherent brightness.
