Podere Le Boncie, Rosso di Toscana 'Chiesamonti' 2021

If you’re a fan of fresh, savory, undervalued Italian reds, then Podere Le Boncie should be at the top of your rotation. In Chianti Classico, Giovanna Morganti biodynamically farms sangiovese to make tiny quantities of wine. Unlike a lot of sangiovese, Giovanna's is elegant and lithe rather than big and rich. It reminds us of Burgundy, with earthy, herbal flavors and a mid-weight frame. The ‘Chiesamonti’ is the most lifted and finessed bottling in the lineup.
