Eric Rodez, 'Cuvée des Crayères' Brut NV

Eric Rodez is based in the village of Ambonnay, where his family’s winemaking roots predate the French (or American) Revolution. Eric even served as the town’s mayor for six years. He worked nearby at Krug, before taking that experience back to his family’s winery, where he makes similarly-styled Champagne at a fraction of the price.

Eric’s use of reserve wines and barrel aging - techniques integral at Krug - gives this Champagne depth and weight that balances its bright acidity.
