This crisp Italian white is made from a grape called mataòssu, which you won’t find growing anywhere but Punta Crena’s vineyards in Liguria. The wine is fresh and salty, with century-old vines adding concentration and depth. It tastes like top-class Chablis, but it’s Ligurian through and through. The same family has been making these wines for more than 500 years, with very little changing about their techniques to this day. They continue to make appealing wines in an even more appealing place - the hills overlooking the Italian Riviera.
Tastes like: White peach, sea salt, honeysuckle.
How to drink: Cold alongside simply prepared seafood or any dish involving pesto or salsa verde.
