Lambrusco doesn’t have a great rap in the US, and frankly, that’s fair. A lot of it is some combination of sweet, mass-produced, and boring. This rosé Lambrusco from Silvia Zucchi is none of those things. The third-generation of her family to make wine in Emilia-Romagna, Silvia farms organically and employs a rare, labor-intensive technique to impart bubbles. The result is a sparkling rosé that’s fresh, herbal, and bright-fruited.
Tastes like: Raspberry, thyme, sea salt.
How to drink: In place of a late afternoon spritz, or outdoors with a bright salad. Either way, serve cold.
