Wasenhaus, Spätburgunder 'Grand Ordinaire' 2024

Wasenhaus has become one of the hottest tickets in German wine. As late as 2021, its founder, Alex Götze, still served as vineyard manager at Domaine de Montille in Volnay. Along with his winemaking partner, Christoph Wolber, the pair’s Burgundy credentials also include Leflaive, Comte Armand, and Pierre Morey. Now, they’re applying those sensibilities two hours to the east in Baden. This light, bright pinot noir has spiciness complementing its vibrant red fruit.
