Weiser-Künstler, Riesling Feinherb 'Steffensberg im Löwenbaum' 2023

Weiser-Künstler is currently making some of the most exciting riesling in all of Germany. The husband-and-wife duo of Konstantin Weiser and Alexandra Künstler farm ancient vines - doing everything by hand - to produce small quantities of old-school rieslings in the Mosel. While each vineyard has its own distinctive identity, the wines all share a throughline of delicacy and high-acid energy. Another attribute they share in spades is value (for now).

Only made in select vintages, this bottling comes from the best parcel within the Grand Cru of Steffensberg. It’s off-dry and deeply textured, but in no way sweet or dense. Spiciness, citrusy fruit, and tart acidity keep it balanced.
