Alfredo Maestro is one of the most staunchly natural producers in the Spanish region of Ribera del Duero. He crafts this biodynamic rosé from old vines of a grape called garnacha tintorera. The grape is unusual in that its juice is colored red (most red grapes only have pigmented skins, along with clear juice). This allows Alfredo to make a deep, vibrant rosé without any skin contact. He just presses the juice, ferments it in barrel, and bottles it with no sulfur or filtration.
Tastes like: Wild raspberry, blood orange, hibiscus.
How to drink: Chilled but not too cold with marinated olives, grilled shrimp skewers, or paella.
Ships from: New York, NY, USA
