Bartolo Mascarello is on the shortlist of the world’s absolute greatest winemakers. His daughter, Maria Teresa Mascarello, has only affirmed the winery’s reputation since taking over in the early 2000s. While best known for structured, long-lived Barolo, Mascarello also releases an immediately enjoyable red from dolcetto. Hearty, savory, and fresh, dolcetto gets no better than this.
