Bernard Levet, Côte-Rôtie 'La Chavaroche' 2020
Bernard Levet is one of the most iconic producers in the Northern Rhone. not one of those producers. His wines are deep, age-worthy, and unmistakably Côte-Rôtie. ‘La Chavaroche’ is made from particularly old vines on the Côte Brune, and is Levet's most powerful, intensely aromatic wine. Only a tiny amount makes it to the US each year.
Tastes like: Grilled plums, bacon fat, olives, violets.
How to drink: Decant for an hour or more, and enjoy with a ribeye or bacon cheeseburger.
