700 miles from the Spanish mainland off the coast of Morocco, the Canary Islands are home to some of the most distinctive, just plain delicious white wines in all of Spain. While the volcanic island of Tenerife has become a natural wine hotspot in recent years, Borja Pérez Gonzalez’s family has been making wine here for the last century. Borja makes this salty, savory white from old vines of the local grape, listan blanco.
