Chacra wines come from a little-known place for winemaking: northern Patagonia in Argentina. The people they come from, however, are as well-known as it gets: Jean-Marc Roulot and Piero Incisa (the producer of Sassicaia). Together, they’re making what’s quickly becoming our favorite chardonnay and pinot noir on this side of the Atlantic.
This old-vine pinot comes from a pebble-strewn vineyard that Piero farms organically and biodynamically. The resulting wine is vibrant and floral, with earthiness that’ll remind you of Red Burgundy.
