Cabernet Franc is a grape that is most often blended into Bordeaux or California wines to give a tangy and peppery flavor to the wines. In the Loire Valley regions like Anjou, it shines as a medium-bodied, leathery and earthy red. Clos de l'Elu makes organic wines that taste more like drinking a glass of smoke and peppers than a big gulp of jelly.
