Domaine Camille Thiriet, Côte de Nuits Villages Les Retraits 2021

Until recently, Camille Thiriet made wine in a garage in Burgundy that had no electricity or running water. In other words, ‘artisanal’ didn’t really do it justice. While her production is still limited, she has expanded her operation in the Côte de Nuits. She and her partner, Matt Chittick, make 'Les Retraits' from a plot adjacent to Nuits-Saint-Georges. It's spicy and savory yet delicate and floral.
