Michelle Smith, previously one of the top sommeliers in NYC, met David Chapel while David was working at Beaujolais’ most famous producer, Lapierre. Like Lapierre, the couple crafts organic gamay with more structure and savory depth than the vast majority of Beaujolais. This bottling - from a high-elevation parcel of old vines - showcases all the floral and herbal notes that the area of Fleurie is famous for.
Tastes like: Raspberry, violet, clove, thyme.
How to drink: An ideal chilled red to enjoy on its own or alongside cheese and charcuterie.
