The late, great Jacky Blot belongs in the pantheon of the Loire’s all-time legends. His single-vineyard whites didn’t just open people’s eyes to the little-known village of Montlouis, but they spurred a move towards dry, mineral, complex chenin blanc in general. The 'Clos du Hochet' comes from a plot of pure chalk, which yields an elegant, salty, richly textured white wine.
