As a former management consultant, Anatole de la Brosse did what you might expect when he launched his own winery in 2018. He sought guidance from the Loire’s ultimate ‘consultant’, Nady Foucault of Clos Rougeard. Organic and biodynamic from the outset, his cabernet franc is deeper and more complex than most red wines from Saumur-Champigny. It’s also rarer, as only about 1000 cases are made annually.
Tastes like: Blackberry, grilled bell peppers, cigar box.
How to drink: Pair with charcuterie, hearty red sauce dishes, or lean cuts of steak.
