Domaine des Moriers is a tiny Beaujolais upstart helmed by François de Nicolay of Chandon des Briailles in Savigny. François’ Beaujolais comes from small, organic plots across some of the region's best villages: Fleurie, Morgon, and Moulin-à-Vent.
Morgon is a village in Beaujolais most closely associated with big names like Marcel Lapierre and Jean Foillard. Moriers’ Morgon reminds us more of lively and floral red Burgundy than tangy overtly-natural wines.
