François Chidaine is a man you can trust for reliably crisp, bone-dry white wine. He makes chenin blanc in France’s Loire Valley, an area more famous for Sancerre. But chenin blanc is a bit subtler and richer, and all the while still zesty and fresh. Thanks to this balance, the wine can unite most palates around the table. This bottle is bright with acidity and tastes the way an apple orchard smells.
