In the town of Saumur, Romain Guiberteau farms top plots of cabernet franc to make some of the region’s very best red wines. Like his mentor, Nady Foucault of Clos Rougeard, Romain organically farms old vines - nearly 70 years-old for this Saumur Rouge - to produce an elegant, complex wine that’s deeply savory and a bit spicy.
Tastes like: Raspberry, violet, leather, green bell pepper.
How to drink: Enjoy with BBQ ribs, pizza, or pasta bolognese.
