Luís Seabra is Portugal’s most important producer. 20 years ago as winemaker at Niepoort, Luís focused on crafting dry wines, turning centuries of Port-centric tradition on its head. Since then, he has spearheaded a ‘New Portugal’ wine movement that emphasizes freshness, site-specificity, and local grape varieties. This red comes from Luís’ home region of the Douro Valley. A blend of grapes like touriga franca and tinta amarela produces an earthy, smoky, bright-fruited red wine.
Tastes like: Cranberry, sage, white pepper.
How to drink: Slightly chilled with veggies, meats, and sausages on the grill.
