Maison de Montille, Pouilly-Fuissé 'En Vergisson' 2020

The Montilles have been in Burgundy for 300 years. In the last few decades, the farming has become organic, and the wines have become accessible earlier, with their elegance and complexity still on full display. While they’re based in Volnay, this wine comes from Pouilly-Fuissé in the south of Burgundy. It’s a region known for richer, riper styles of chardonnay, but this one from Montille is crisp, a bit salty, and supremely elegant.

Tastes like: Nectarine, salt, smoke, vanilla.

How to drink: Not too cold alongside roast chicken, scallops, or lobster.
