Neumeister, Vulkanland Steiermark Weissburgunder 'Straden' 2022

Not far from the borders of both Slovenia and Hungary, Christoph Neumeister makes some of Austria’s most singular white wines. Along with pinot gris and sauvignon blanc, he organically farms weissburgunder (pinot blanc) on the region’s remarkably steep slopes. The result is a medium-bodied white wine that would be fun to put in a lineup with unoaked chardonnay.
