Paolo Bea, Umbria Bianco 'Lapideus' 2020

Paolo Bea is one of the founding fathers of natural wine in Italy, and remains arguably the greatest producer in Umbria today. On a tiny vineyard way up in the hills of central Italy, he makes tiny quantities of wines using local, organically-farmed grapes. One of those grapes, trebbiano spoletino, yields this savory yet crisp orange wine. Only about 100 cases are made each year.
