The reason Brunello di Montalcino has become one of Italy's greatest assets is due to the dedication and craft of producers like Poggio di Sotto. If there were a podium for the greatest Tuscan producers, Poggio di Sotto would be on it. Their Brunello is fresh and herbaceous, more reminiscent of elegant Burgundy than opulent Brunello.
